Iraq gives free visas to Gulf citizens

The Iraqi Football Association has announced that it has decided to cancel visa fees for entering Iraqi territory in order to participate and watch the Arab Gulf Cup (Gulf 25), which is being held in Basra province.

 

Ahmad Musawi, the head of the media committee of the Gulf 25 championship, published in a statement, Muhammad Shia Sudani, the prime minister of Iraq has decided to cancel visa fees to Iraqi territory, with the aim of further supporting the championship and facilitating the presence of citizens in the competitions.

 

Ahmad Musawi also mentioned that the Iraqi Football Union, in cooperation with the local government in the southern Iraqi province of Basra, all the conditions for the success of the championship in terms of He has provided administrative, organizational and logistical, in a way that is compatible with the history of football and the Gulf Championships.

 

This is at a time when the Iraqi Interior Ministry had previously decided to make 200 US dollars as visa fees for foreign citizens who want to visits Iraq to participate in the Gulf Championship, which is scheduled to start on January 6, 2022.
