The White House is holding Newroz celebration and a Kurdish figure has been invited to the event.

As an annual tradition, the White House will hold a celebration on March 21 to mark Newroz and the Kurdish New Year.

Kurdish film maker Bahmani Ghobadi has received an official invitation from US President Joe Biden and his wife Jill Biden to attend the event at the White House on Tuesday.

Several prominent figures and artists from countries related to Newroz are expected to attend the White House celebrations.

Bahmani Ghobadi is considered one of the most prominent Kurdish directors and has produced a number of documentaries and other films and won several international awards at international festivals.
