Demirtas handed a memorandum on the situation of women to the CHP leader from Edirne prison and made several proposals to solve the problem of women in Turkey.

 In the memorandum, Demirtas pointed to the increase in murder of women and violence against women in all sections of society and said, "I think we as men must change our mindset.
