The commander-in-chief of the Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) said the fall of the oppressive regime is a historic moment for Syrians and a new Syria must be rebuilt on the basis of democracy and justice.
"The fall of the oppressive regime is a historic moment for Syrians and the changes are an opportunity to build a new Syria," said Mazlum Abdi, commander-in-chief of the Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF).
He stressed that the new Syria must be rebuilt on the basis of democracy and justice and the rights of all communities must be guaranteed.
The fall of the 53-year-old regime of the Assad family was announced on Wednesday morning with the capture of the Syrian capital Damascus and the escape of Bashar al-Assad.
