China embassy announced on Friday that the volume of trade exchange with Iraq increased by more than 43% year-on-year in 2022.
A statement by the Chinese embassy in Baghdad indicated that "the volume of trade exchange between China and Iraq amounted to 53.37 billion US dollars in 2022."
Iraq is the largest country in terms of contracts with China, according to a statement by Chinese Ambassador to Baghdad Cui Wei.
Wei stressed in October last year that "Iraq represents the largest country for the Chinese side in terms of contracts, and the second partner in terms of crude oil and the volume of trade."
