The Kurdish parties in Kirkuk are scheduled to meet on Sunday to discuss the issues of the governor and the census.
According to KNN, the first person of all Kurdish parties in Kirkuk, including the PUK and PDK, will meet tomorrow at the headquarters of (The Justice Society party), which aims to discuss the issues of the governor of Kirkuk and the census proces.
The provincial council elections were held on December 18, 2023. After the first meeting of the council on June 11, 2023, the local government must be formed within 30 days, but the parties in Kirkuk have not yet agreed on a candidate for the post.
Meanwhile, the case of the census is another issue in Kirkuk and is scheduled to be held in October this year, without determining the ethnicity, which has caused concern among the Kurds in the city.
