Gorran Movement: Ismail Abdullah stood up against injustice, corruption and oppression

The Gorran Movement has issued a letter of condolences on the death of Ismail Abdullah, known as Ismail Saray Azadi.  Ismail Abdullah, without hesitation, without any threat to his life, together with his comrades, for 63 days in the Saray Azady in Sulaimani, gave the voice of truth and called for freedom, equality and justice to the authorities and all Kurdish people.


 In his condolence letter, the Gorran Movement said that because of his patience and advocacy for the people and unchanging beliefs, the Gorran Movement had given confidence to Ismail Abdullah to represent the true voice of the poor people of Kurdistan.

  

 Text of the condolence letter of the Gorran Movement:

 It is with great sadness that we announce the passing away of Ismail Abdullah, known as Ismaili Saray Azadi, an activist and candidate of the Gorran Movement.

  

 He was a young man full of energy and love among his friends. He had put all his abilities in the service of the public good and always stood up against injustice, corruption and oppression.  He gave the voice of truth and the call for freedom, equality and justice to the authorities and all the people of Kurdistan.

  

 He was expected to continue serving with his patience and unwavering beliefs. Therefore, the Gorran Movement gave him the confidence to run for the sixth session of parliament to represent the true voice of the poor people of Kurdistan.

  

 We are deeply saddened by the death of Mr. Ismail. We extend our condolences to ourselves and all Gorran supporters, friends, relatives and family. We ask God to grant his soul peace in Paradise and to grant us all comfort and patience.
