Hiwa Hospital has released the statistics of new cancer cases in 2024, which is more than three thousand (300) people, including (210) new cases are children.



 Hiwa Hospital in Sulaimani province announced the number of new cancer patients.  According to the annual report of the Cancer Registry Department, the number of people diagnosed with cancer in 2024 is 3,310 people.


 According to the ministry, 210 children are among the new cancer cases in Sulaimani province, while 45.40% of the cases are female and 54.60% are male.


 According to the report, 91.8% of the new cancer cases are residents of Sulaimani province, while 2.4% are from other cities in the region.


 Hiwa Hospital in Sulaimani said: To receive the necessary treatment for their disease, 82% of new cancer patients last year were registered in Hiwa Hospital and 18% of the other patients visited hospitals outside the hospital.
