Mazlum Abdi commander-in-chief says his forces in Aleppo have been working to build a humanitarian corridor to protect their people, but Turkish allied groups have destroyed the corridor.
"The changes in northern and western Syria are happening very fast. Our forces have faced intense attacks from several fronts and the Syrian army and its allies have withdrawn and been defeated," HSD commander-in-chief Mazlum Abdi wrote on X.
He said that after the defeat of the Syrian army, they worked to open a humanitarian corridor between their areas and Aleppo and Tal Rafah to protect their people from massacre, but the attacks of armed groups allied to Turkey cut and destroyed the corridor.
He said that their forces have bravely defended Aleppo, Tel Rafaat and Shahba and are now on the line with all Syrian authorities to move Kurdish citizens from Tel Rafaat and Shahba to safe areas in the north and east.
He stressed that their forces continue to protect Kurdish citizens in Kurdish neighborhoods of Aleppo.
