General voting for the sixth session of the Kurdistan Parliament has begun

 After two years of delay, under pressure from the international community, the general voting for the sixth session of the Kurdistan Parliament began today (October 20, 2024).

  

 1190 candidates, lists and coalitions are competing for 100 seats in the Kurdistan Parliament, including 823 male and 368 female candidates.

  

 The number of seats in the sixth session of the Kurdistan Parliament consists of (100) seats, of which (95) seats are for the general and the other five seats are reserved for the finalists.

  

 The total number of polling stations consists of six thousand (318) polling stations, which are monitored by (35) thousand (72) representatives of political parties and five thousand (274) observers and representatives of international organizations and consulates.
